I am writing to support Democratic state Sen. Cathy Breen’s bid for a second term in the Legislature.

As a resident of Senate District 25, I have appreciated Cathy’s work for me and other Mainers. In addition to her consistent advocacy for the environment and education, I want to particularly note her facilitation of upgrades to Route 26 in Gray – a concrete example of an elected official getting things done for her constituents. And her support for the Opportunity Maine program, which provides incentives for college graduates to live and work in our state, shows a commitment to constructively addressing one of Maine’s biggest economic problems.

At a time when Maine politics is marred by our governor’s dysfunctional approach to state government, Cathy offers professionalism and positivity. As such, I urge my community to vote for Sen. Cathy Breen on Nov. 8.
