I have only met Democratic state Senate candidate Cathy Breen once, so as a close follower of Maine politics, and as an independent voter, I decided to look at her record as a local public servant.
It is impressive. She has chaired Falmouth’s Town Council, where she has been a strong advocate for education, public health and conservation. She also has been a strong voice for restoring state revenue sharing with our towns, to keep property taxes down. She has demonstrated real vision for rational development.
We need people with vision for the future who can work with others without the sniping and back-biting we have seen from others in this campaign. Breen has demonstrated her ability to get the job done. She has my vote in Senate District 25.
