I encourage voters in Falmouth, Cumberland, Yarmouth and Chebeague to join me in voting for Cathy Breen in the Democratic June 10 primary for the District 25 state Senate seat.
During her tenure on the Falmouth Town Council, Cathy proved to be calm, capable and open-minded. I appreciated her leadership as chairwoman when Falmouth passed its historic Open Space Referendum in 2007. This effort was the result of years of hard work where Cathy listened carefully and respectfully to residents, landowners, conservationists and developers. Since then, the town has conserved hundreds of acres of high-value wildlife habitats, riparian ways, and unique historic properties.
Cathy was key to this conservation success. She listened to different points of view and developed workable solutions. We need more of this kind of positive leadership and attitude in Augusta. Please vote for Cathy Breen on June 10.
