I urge Bath residents to elect Jennifer DeChant as state representative from District 62. We are very fortunate to have a candidate as knowledgeable and caring as Jennifer to take Mike Clarke’s place. I have been deeply impressed with the broad scope of Jennifer’s professional experience in the private and public sectors and her activities on behalf of the city of Bath, the Mid-Coast Region, and the state of Maine.
Jennifer’s opponent, Kyle Rogers, has experience in local real estate and on the City Council. Rogers’ goal as a councilor seems to be reducing taxes by defunding programs that serve the community, no matter the damage to our social fabric and our future. He would do more of the same at the state level. We need to move forward with strategies and programs that build, not demolish. Clearly, Jennifer DeChant is the candidate who will best serve the city of Bath.
