I enthusiastically support a Performing Arts Center at Greely High School. As a proud parent of four Greely graduates, I have enjoyed Greely’s arts for decades. Our programs’ quality is truly inspiring, especially given they take place in cafeterias and gyms. As a real estate broker, I see that home buyers view the PACs of other high-performing schools as community commitment to education. Our lack of a PAC gives the opposite impression. Make no mistake, our talent excels – the facilities do not. A Greely PAC will correct this impression and, thereby, improve property values. The PAC should be seen as a community asset, with sufficient seating for both the full high school student body and large community events. It is time for us to invest in a real PAC to enhance and expand school programming and community events.
