I agree with Andy Jones’ letter: we need to be able to vote for the person we think is the best candidate, without calculating whether that will be “throwing away our vote.”
Ranked-choice voting takes into account our second choice, reducing the feeling that voting is no better than a game of chance, stacked against the people by moneyed interests.
