I am writing in response to Caleb Hemphill’s letter last week.

Six candidates will be on the ballot for Falmouth Town Council this year. That is not the standard number of candidates in Falmouth and that’s because people in Falmouth are interested in change of perspective. All the candidates are great and council Chairman Hemphill makes a positive statement for those candidates. If voters want to continue the group-think approach they should follow his recommendation.

Three new councilors could be elected this term. This is an opportunity to change the dynamic of the Town Council. Only three candidates used modern outreach (websites, social media, etc.) to get their message out. The three endorsed by Hemphill did not.

I encourage people to vote for John Lane, Hope Cahan, and Jim Chaousis. Diversity and fresh perspective might be perfect for Falmouth. Check out their sites.
