Cumberland has three strong candidates running for the School Administrative District 51 Board of Directors: Karen Campbell, Bethany Hanley and Gigi Sanchez. All three are committed to educational excellence and have demonstrated effective and inclusive leadership.
Karen was previously vice chairwoman of the board and its representative on the Strategic Thinking/Planning Committee. In both roles, Karen has shown her equanimity and ability to develop consensus. She is also committed to ensuring that our students are prepared to address future challenges.
Bethany has been PTO chairwoman and is the community representative on the district’s Communication Committee. Bethany’s unwavering efforts on behalf of all students and her commitment to ensuring that the community is well informed make her an ideal board member.
Gigi has been an active volunteer in our schools and president of the Maine State Bar Association. The board will be greatly enhanced by Gigi’s highly respected professionalism and diligence.
