BATH — Lester E. Williams, 59, died July 15 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Born in Bath on Jan. 2, 1952, he was the son of Edward and Ruby Williams.

As a child Lester liked to go to firemen musters.

A hard worker and lifelong truck driver, over the years he worked for his father on the garbage truck and drove a dump truck for Crookers, among others.

He liked playing Bingo, cribbage, attending local fairs, camping, and he loved spending time with family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, sister Grace Williams, brother Edward Williams Jr., sister-in-law Carol Talbot, and brother-in-law Joseph MacMahan.

Surviving are his four children, Arthur and wife Katrina Williams, Lester and girlfriend Kathy Brown, Sherry Scott and boyfriend Erin Begay, Lisa Williams and boyfriend Jeff Davis; 12 grandchildren; brothers Stephan Talbot, Charlie and wife Mary Williams, and sisters Barbara and husband Jack Page, Norma MacMahan, Patty Williams, Sharon and husband Jim Jaynes; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the Sportsmens Club in Phippsburg on Sunday, Aug 7, at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations towards his burial, c/o Lisa Williams, 118 Weston Rd., Woolwich, ME 04579.
