BATH — Jonathan Liberman, deputy district attorney for Knox, Lincoln, Waldo and Sagadahoc counties since last July, was appointed district attorney for the region by Gov. Paul LePage on Monday.

Liberman, a Bath resident, fills a vacancy left by the appointment of former DA Geoffrey Rushlau to seat on the Maine District Court. Liberman was assistant district attorney in the district from 2011-2016.
