Falmouth boys’ lacrosse coach Mike LeBel earned his 100th victory with the program Saturday when the Yachtsmen downed Kennebunk, by a 10-9 margin in a thrilling Class B South semifinal. LeBel started with Falmouth in 2007, has led the Yachtsmen to seven straight regional finals and the 2011 and 2012 Class B state championships.

“It helps me remember all the great players that have gone through this program and the parents, the support from the community, which has been great,” said LeBel. “I think about how many people had influence on our success. It’s pretty neat. It allows me to remember way, way back, all the people who were there when times weren’t necessarily great. It’s been a fun ride.”
