FALMOUTH — Lawrence Russell England, 98, of Falmouth, died Sept. 13 after a brief illness.

Born on Feb. 25, 1913, in Medford, Mass., he was a son of George Russell and Sarah Alice (MacLean) England.

He worked as a cabinetmaker with his company, L. R. England & Son, in Winchester, Mass., founded by his father in 1898, which was well-known for its custom cabinetry and “England Kitchens.”

He enjoyed golfing, boating and spending winters in Florida and summers in Ossipee, N.H.

Four sisters predeceased him.

Surviving are his wife of 73 years, Vivienne M. (Borrebach) England; a son Lawrence R. England, Jr., and his wife Bernice of Wolfeboro, N.H., and two daughters, Virginia England Snow of Falmouth, and Vicky Loring England of Hollywood, Calif.; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lyndy and her husband Robert, Jennifer, Matthew, and Sarah; three great-grandchildren, Andrew, William Lawrence and Tabitha.

Funeral services are private.
