SOUTH PORTLAND — The Maine Department of Labor on Tuesday, May 27, at 1 p.m. will host a Rapid Response session for workers affected by the closing of Newick’s Lobster House in South Portland.
The session, which will be held at the Portland CareerCenter, 185 Lancaster St., Portland, will help workers who have lost their jobs assess their eligibility for unemployment benefits and other services.
Newick’s, which also has restaurants in Dover and Concord, New Hampshire, abruptly closed its restaurant in the Shops at Clarks Pond on Wednesday.
