FREEPORT — L.L. Bean’s Outdoor Discovery School’s kayak and camping trips will begin this July.
Interested parties will be trained to paddle, and no experience is necessary. Groups will leave from the private paddling center on Casco Bay and the tour the nearby islands. Adventurers will camp, eat steak and lobster, and learn about marine wildlife and the rocky coast.
The three-day, two-night Island Camping trip for $499 is available Friday-Sunday, July 16-18; July 23-25; July 30-August 1; August 6-8; and August 27-29.
The two-day, one-night camping trip for $299 is available Saturday and Sunday, July 10-11; August 14-15; August 21-22; September 18-19; or Friday and Saturday August 13-14.
The three-day, two night Island Hopping trip with one night of camping and one night at an inn is available Friday-Sunday, July 9-11; August 20-22; and September 17-19 for $750.
