BRUNSWICK — A lecture and slide show will be given by Katharine Cobey, an author and sculptural knitter, on Saturday, June 25, from 2-4 p.m.

The Maine Fiberarts presentation, which also includes a short film of a working Worumbo Mill from the 1950s, will be held at Frontier Cafe & Cinema, in the Fort Andross Building at 14 Maine St.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door, and they are available through Frontier Cafe by calling 725-5222. Proceeds benefit Topsham-based Maine Fiberarts.

Cobey will speak on the topic of “Knitting Great Shapes,” delving into her discoveries concerning the use of diagonal knitting in making wearable art and sculpture. She will show slides of her work, will have a few examples on hand, and will offer signed copies of her book, “Diagonal Knitting.” A question and answer session will follow her presentation.
