CAPE ELIZABETH — Former Gov. Angus King will be the featured speaker at next week’s Cape Elizabeth Land Trust annual meeting.

The 26th annual event will take place Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 6-8 p.m. at the Purpoodock Country Club, 300 Spurwink Ave.

King will discuss his book “Governor’s Travels: How I Left Politics, Learned to Back Up a Bus and Found America.”

Admission to the event is free for members. A limited number of reservations will be available for non-members, who will be asked to provide modest donations. The event will include a cash bar and light refreshments.
