SOUTH PORTLAND  — City democrats nominated Christopher J. Kessler to the House of Representatives at the polls June 12.

Kessler recieved 600 votes to challenger Richard Rottkov’s 552 votes in seeking the party’s nomination for District 32. Incumbent Democrat Scott M. Hamann did not seek re-election.

Republican Tammy Walter of Cape Elizabeth will face Kessler in the general election Nov.6.
