BOWDOIN — Kenneth Dwight Gordon, 57, died Feb. 1 at the Hospice House in Auburn after a long illness.

He was born in Brunswick, Sept. 17, 1952, the son of Burchard and Naomi (Collins) Gordon.

For 16 years he worked as the head steward for Bowdoin College dining service.

He enjoyed nature, hiking, music, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents. 

Surviving are his wife Tricia Gordon of Bowdoin; four sons, Kristopher Gordon and his wife Lynnette of North Carolina, Nate, Josh, and Austin Gordon, all of Bowdoin, and two daughters, Shannon Bruner and husband Jeremy of Massachusetts, Jessica Emmert and husband Rick of Richmond; two brothers, Dennis Gordon of Brunswick and Larry Gordon of Topsham; and eight grandchildren, Krystyna, Ian, Aeryn, Jon, Levi, Ezra, Cyrus and Anika.

A memorial celebration was held last week.

Memorial donations may be made to the Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, 15 Strawberry Ave., P.O. Box 819, Lewiston, ME 04243-0819 or donations will be accepted on behalf of his young children, Nate, Josh, and Austin, through the Kenneth Memorial Fund, c/o Tricia Gordon, Five County Credit Union, 3 Hamilton Ct., Topsham, ME 04086.

Arrangements are by the Funeral Alternatives Group, 25 Tampa St., Lewiston.
