CUMBERLAND — Keith “Tiny” Terison, 42, died June 26 following a long illness with family and friends at his side at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass.

On July 27, 1966, he was born in Portland, the son of Carl Terison Jr., and Maureen (O’Rourke) Terison.

He grew up in Cumberland and graduated from Greely High School in 1985.

When he was younger, he worked for the family business, Terison Apple Orchard. Later on, he worked for his brother Phil as a plumber’s assistant for many years.

He was also a volunteer firefighter for the West Cumberland Fire Department.

He was passionate about racing and enjoyed going to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on weekends. His love for sand drag racing led him to become the official starter at the Northeast Off-Road Vehicle Competition Association at the Ossipee Valley Fairgrounds. He had many friends throughout Maine and in Ohio. He was known as a gentle giant to many children.

Surviving are his parents, Carl Terison Jr., and Maureen (O’Rourke) Terison; two brothers, Philip Terison and his wife Annette of Cumberland and Steven Terison and his wife Janis of Otisfield; two nephews, Christopher and Connor Terison and two nieces, Sydney Terison and Mckayla Ivey.

A celebration of his life will be held with family and friends at 4 p.m. Aug. 15, at the Ossipee Valley Fairgrounds.

Arrangements are by Mackey Funeral Home, 22 Conant St., Danvers, Mass.
