BATH — Katherine Mary Jennings, 51, formerly of Bath, died July 9 in Orange Park, Fla..

She was born in Brunswick on July 22, 1960, a daughter of Leo George and Natalie Ann (Pushard) Tanger, Jr.
     
Jennings attended Bath schools and graduated from Morse High School, class of 1978. She was employed as an assistant to designers at Bath Iron Works and as a bartender at J.R. Maxwell’s in Bath. She was the proud wife and mother of U.S. Navy personnel. She lived in San Diego, Calif. for five years and in Japan for five years. Since 2005, she resided in Orange Park, Fla.

Jennings was a world traveler and  snorkeled in many places she visited. She also was a voracious reader, an exquisite cook and a professional shopper. She was devoted to her cats, Tubby and Biscuit.
     
She is survived by  her husband, Vincent A. Herzel, of Orange Park; her mother, Natalie Tanger of Mobile, Ala.; her daughter, Rebecca Green, and her husband, Johnathan, of Orange Park; a son, Benjamin Brown, and his wife, Erin,
of West Bath; sister Kim Svien and her husband, Mark, of West Bath; sister Karen Favreau and her husband, Bert, of Mobile, Ala.; sister Kelly Haley and her fiancé, Darren McClave, of Sheffield, Pa.; five grandchildren, Benjamin, Alex, Lydia, Sir and Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
     
A graveside service was held July 19 at Orchard Hill Cemetery in West Bath.
