BRUNSWICK — June Marilyn Tardiff, 79, died peacefully with her family by her side on July 21 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.
Tardiff was born May 20, 1935, in Arrowsic, the daughter of Howard and Celia (Morse) Carlton. She grew up in Arrowsic and graduated from Morse High School in Bath.
On Jan. 18, 1958, June married Joseph John Tardiff Sr., and the couple resided in Bath to raise their family.
Tardiff was a “stay-at-home” mom, work in which she took great pride. In her spare time, she could often be found reading a good book, another passion of hers.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in November 2011, and a son, Howard Tardiff.
She leaves behind three sons, Joseph Tardiff Jr., of Arrowsic, Gene Tardiff and his wife, Sheri, of Wales, and David Tardiff and his wife, Cindy, of Lisbon; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and lots of friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Aug. 8, at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
