BRUNSWICK — Josephine M. Brancato, 95, a resident of Pejepscot Terrace in Brunswick, died Nov. 9 at Parkview Adventist Medical Center.
Brancato was born Jan. 2, 1919, in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of Gaetano and Agnes (Serpentino) Pannone. She was educated in Brooklyn schools.
She met and married Vito Brancato in New York, and together they raised their family, moving to Maine in 1989. Vito predeceased her on April 1, 1990.
Josephine was a member of Maine Street Baptist Church in Brunswick.
She is survived by her son, Michael Brancato, of Staten Island, New York; son, Vito Brancato, of Ithaca, New York; three daughters, Rose Cotrone of Lady Lake, Florida, Barbara Scorcia, of Boothbay, and Maria Brancato Caldwell, of Brunswick; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be private. Interment will be held at Pinelawn Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York. Arrangements are under the direction of Brackett Funeral Home, Brunswick.
