TOPSHAM — Joseph A. Coppens, 26, of Clearview Lane, died Feb. 10 at his home.
He was born in Brunswick on Dec. 2, 1988, the son of Cheryl and Kevin Coppens.
Joseph attended Topsham schools and graduated from Mount Ararat High School in 2007. In 2012, he earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maine, where he was a proud member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
Coppens is remembered as a bright young man with a unique sense of humor. When it came to video games, his friends knew him as an always-competitive player.
Surviving are his parents; a brother, John Coppens, of Topsham; and his grandmother, Frances Clark, of Brunswick.
A celebration of his life will occur at a later date. Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick.
