BRUNSWICK — John J. Oldham, 80, of Brunswick, died peacefully at his home on Nov. 25, with his family by his side.

Oldham was born in Cumberland, R.I., on April 14, 1933, the son of John J. Sr. and Harriet (Hampson) Oldham. He attended local schools, graduated from Cumberland High School, and then joined the U.S. Army, proudly serving his country for two years.

Upon returning home, he worked with his father in the family business, John J. Oldham & Son Electrical. He worked hard and continued to build the business until his retirement in 1998.

In 1970, on a blind date, John met Sandra Andreozzi. The couple were married in 1985 and resided in Massachusetts until moving to Brunswick in 2006.

Oldham had a passion for golf and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling and boating. He was rarely indoors, unless the Red Sox were playing. Known for his big heart, he loved spending time with his family and was a very proud grandfather.

He is predeceased by his brother, Bob Oldham.
