CUMBERLAND — Jesse Parker Zacks, 19, died Oct. 11 as a result of an ATV accident.  

On Aug. 9, 1991, he was born in Portland, the son of Sandra Lee Parker and Dr. Charles M. Zacks.  

He was educated in Cumberland schools and graduated from Greely High School in 2009.

He had a deep love for Morgan horses and was learning how train and show them.

He also had a passion for anything with an engine, including cars, snowmobiles, ATVs and the motorboat he built with his dad.

His parents will remember him as a loving son and a hard worker.

Survivors include his parents, Sandra and Charles of Cumberland; his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Viola Parker of Rochester, N.Y.; his paternal grandmother, Marilyn Zacks of Falmouth, Mass.; his uncle, Bill Parker of Chicago, Ill., his aunt and uncle, Drs. Marc and Susan Post of Beachwood, Ohio, his aunt Nancy Zacks of Providence, R.I.; his cousins, Anna and Sara Post of Beachwood, Ohio; a devoted network of extended family; a tight circle of friends whom he loved and appreciated; and his constant companion, his dog Dega.

A graveside service was held on Oct. 15 at Moss Side Cemetery, Main Street, Cumberland.
