FALMOUTH — Jeanette L. Randazza, 88, of Falmouth, died March 27, at The Oceanview Falmouth House, surrounded by family and friends.

Born in 1926, in Salem, Mass., she was the daughter of Alma and Edward Dumas. In 1949, she married John B. Randazza. They were happily married for more than 60 years.

A registered nurse educated during World War II, she later earned her bachelor’s in vocational education. She worked in various hospitals as an RN and also as a school nurse in Brunswick. Contracted by Maine Vocational Region Ten, she organized the first Health Occupations Education Program and she was an instructor in that program from 1975-1984. She continued to serve as a consultant for Health Occupations until her retirement in 1989.

She was the heart and soul of her family. She unknowingly touched many lives and although she had many professional successes, her true passion was being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She was predeceased by her husband, John.

She is survived by her five children; Margaret and Bruce Grimes, of Kittery, Jan and Neil Rauch, Ben and Ayin Randazza, Nina Randazza and Carol Trapasso and Joel and Bonnie Randazza, of Harpswell; six grandchildren, Jesse, Elizabeth, Theresa, Joshua, David and Evan; six great-grandchildren; and two siblings in North Carolina.

The family would like to thank the Oceanview staff at The Falmouth House, Dr. Robert Frasier and staff at Intermed, and Southern Maine Hospice for their care. Her last years were made especially rich by the incredible caregivers at Comfort Keepers. Her family is very grateful for the loving, respectful care she received.

Private services will be held later this summer. Arrangements are by Stetson Funeral Home, Brunswick.
