FALMOUTH — Jean Pearson, 84, of Falmouth, died Dec. 10, after a six-year battle with cancer.

She was born Sept. 28, 1929, to Ralph and Grace Pearson, of Haverhill, Mass.

She will be best remembered for her high energy and her caring nature to both her friends and family. She had a keen sense of humor and adventure. She was an accomplished artist in both watercolor and oil and hosted many fun art shows.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Benjamin Pearson Jr.; children, Robin Cogan and Benjamin Pearson, of Durham; grandchildren, Jeremy and Julie Lyons, Katie and Ryan Nugent, Julia Pearson and Jean Pearson; four great-granddaughters, Emelie and Taylor Lyons, and Andie Grace and Millicent Nugent; brother, Hugh G. Pearson; and several nieces and a nephew.

At her request there will be no viewing. A memorial in her honor will be held in the spring. Interment will be private.
