BRUNSWICK — Jean B. Clifford, 90, of Thornton Oaks, died March 4, at Mid Coast Senior Health Care.

She was born in Lumberton, North Carolina, on April 6, 1925, the daughter of Murray and Claire Knauss Brisson. Clifford was active in the Topsham Garden Club and volunteered at the hospital and thrift shop. After their children were grown, the Cliffords enjoyed traveling around the world, and taking extensive trips in their RV around North America.

Clifford was predeceased by her husband in 1988, and a son, William B. Clifford, in 1999.

Clifford is survived by four sons, George M. Clifford III, of Honolulu, Hawaii, Charles B. Clifford, of Somerville, Massachusetts, John D. Clifford, of Salem, New Hampshire, and Thomas E. Clifford, of Saipan; a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Clifford, of Melrose, Massachusetts; a sister, Joyce Thomas, of Palm Coast, Florida; and five grandchildren, J.D., Laura, Will, Brittany and Sarah.
