NORTH YARMOUTH — Jayetta W. Fordham, 69, of North Yarmouth, died Sept. 24 at her home, following a period of declining health.

Fordham was born Nov. 18, 1944, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Charles and Wanda (Eisbrenner) Halleman. She graduated from Liberty High School and then graduated with honors from Muhlenburg College in 1966.

She married Wayne Fordham on June 24, 1967.

She worked for many years as a social worker and vocational rehabilitation consultant. Fordham enjoyed horse riding, learning about Native American history, and helping others.

She is survived by her husband; three children, Rose Michaud, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Kim Maestas, of Cumberland, and Ryan Fordham, of Leominster, Massachusetts; six grandchildren, Bethany, Sam, Zach, Ben, Chloe and Mason; two great-grandchildren, Lily and Sophie; a brother, Jeffrey Halleman, and wife, Nancy; and many nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A private family memorial will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the horse rescue at Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals, P.O. Box 10, South Windham, ME 04082-0010.
