YARMOUTH — Janis Theriault, 60, died unexpectedly at her home on Sept. 9.

Born on Nov. 2, 1948, in Fort Kent, she was a daughter of Jeannette (Michaud) and Fernando Theriault.

In 1967, she graduated from Fort Kent High School.

She worked as an administrative assistant for a local paper company and later for an environmental services company.

A quiet and reserved person by nature, she will be remembered for her great love of cats.

She is survived by her eight siblings, Fernando Theriault Jr., and his wife Cecile of Connecticut, Rolande Roy of Connecticut, Roland Theriault and his wife Bernice of Connecticut, Anita Dionne of Connecticut, Pauline Nadeau and her husband Bert of Claire, New Brunswick, Rena Campagna of Connecticut, Theresa Michaud and her companion Rejean Levesque of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Christine Chasse and her husband Dan of Fort Kent; 20 nieces and nephews; and a large extended family.

Arrangements are by Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth.
