TOPSHAM — Janine Beverly Glynn “Neenie” Bessey, 47, died unexpectedly Sept. 18.

Born in Bangor, July 28, 1963, a daughter of Bev Webster and John Glynn, she grew up in South Harpswell and attended local schools, Mt. Ararat High School, and Maine Vocational Region 10.

She lived the majority of her adult life in Topsham.

She was trained as a CNA, and worked for several years at Amenity Manor Nursing Home before opening and operating Topsham Daycare for more than 10 years.

After closing the daycare, she spent the next 13 years caring for her disabled niece, Jilanne, in her home. A lifelong caregiver, she was happiest when she was providing for others and making herself useful.

She adored her family and friends, and especially loved children, serving as a second mother to many. With an easy laugh and big personality, she was usually the life of the party.
