BATH — James E. Durham, 66, died on Friday, Oct. 14 in Woolwich.
He was born Oct. 23, 1944 in Syracuse, N.Y., the son of Edward Durham and Elizabeth (Nevin) Durham. He grew up in Fairmont and Camillus, N.Y., and received his college degree from Clarkson University.
His professional career was with Corning Inc. in Corning, N.Y. Upon his retirement in 2002 he and his wife of 45 years, Janet Jackson Durham, chose Woolwich as their new home.
He is survived by his wife, their son Jason Douglas Durham, his wife Megumi Nezu- Durham and grandson Akaya Nezu Durham; his sisters Marsha McCormick, husband James and son James Jr., Maureen Bennett husband James and daughter Casie; an aunt Jessie Marquette and a cousin Craig Marquette; sister in law Pauline Thibodeau and her children Mark Thibodeau, Susan Sullivan, Gigi Thibodeau and their families.
A memorial ceremony took place on Oct. 20 at the Desmond Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath. Donations may be made on his behalf to The Salvation Army, 25 Congress Ave., Bath, ME 04530 or to your local community Salvation Army.
