PORTLAND — Jacqueline Elizabeth Swann, 44, of Portland, died Oct. 3.

Swann was born April 30, 1970, in Portland, to Terry Swann and June Doucette. She attended local schools and went on to work as a certified nursing assistant.

She loved the outdoors, especially time spent at the beach. She also enjoyed watching horror movies, beading, and collecting candles. But above all was family; Swann was always one to put others needs’ before her own, especially when it came to her children.

She is survived by her children, Michael P. Burns and Daniel M. Burns, of Windham; her mother, June Dominicus, and husband, Rick, of Windham; her father, Terry Swann, and wife, Carole, of Springfield, Massachusetts; a sister, Carla E. Swann, of Westbrook; her grandmother, Josephine Swann, of Swann’s Island and Bar Harbor; a granddaughter, Ella Faye, and a nephew, Cameron. Also surviving are her former husband and dear friend, Daniel C. Burns, and his wife, Jaime, of Windham, and extended family members.

Visiting hours were held Oct. 7 at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, in Portland. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Oct. 8 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
