BRUNSWICK — Irene E. Rush, 93, died March 12 at Hill House Convalescent Center.
She was born in Augusta, July 25, 1916, a daughter of Herbert and Annie Cressey Newton.
On July 9, 1932, she married Roland M. Rush, Sr., in Brunswick.
She was predeceased by her husband Roland on Aug. 1, 1998; her daughter, Betty Ouellette in 1967, and son, Roland M. Rush, Jr., in 1986; two grandchildren, Denys Ouellette and Betty Jo Ouellette Gilley; two brothers, Herbert Newton, Basil Newton, and a half-brother, Camille Dion, and three sisters, Beatrice Dionne, Charlotte Hazzard, and Catherine Morin.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Sonia A. Rush of Brunswick; three grandchildren, Kevin Ouellette of Sugar Island, Mich., Mark Ouellette of Cleveland, Ohio and Deborah Rush Joerger of Mt. View, Mo.; 14 great grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 19 at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick.
