PORTLAND — In the coming weeks, city residents will get two more options for cooling down this summer.
On Sunday, the Portland Ice Arena will open for its 26th season of public skating from 1:30-3 p.m. The city’s new, more energy efficient electric ice resurfacing machine will make its debut. On Monday, June 21, the first official day of summer, the Kiwanis Pool at Dougherty Field will open for it’s 10-week season. Swim classes will begin on June 28 and open daily swim hours will be 1:30-4 p.m. and Monday through Friday from 6-8 p.m. Pool fees are $4.50 for adults and $1 for children.
