BRUNSWICK — Horatio Edward “Whitey” White, 94, died peacefully at home on Oct. 29 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on April 15, 1915, a son of Robert Paine White and Effie Grace Travis White.

He had three passions in his life – his wife of 67 years, Doris Agnes, hunting, and playing golf.

On May 29, 1942, he married Doris Agnes Lozier and lived in Brunswick where they raised four children together.

He worked at Hyde-Windlass and Bath Iron Works for 38 years as a machinist and lead foreman, and also ran a lightning rod business for many years.

He was a hunting enthusiast and won many sharp-shooting tournaments. An avid golfer, he was a lifelong member at the Brunswick Golf Club. He played his last game of golf four days prior to his death.
