Sports Editor Michael Hoffer of The Forecaster received the Media Award at Sunday’s Maine Field Hockey Association awards banquet at the Augusta Civic Center. Hoffer, who has been writing for the paper since 1999, also received the honor in 2007. He was cited by the coaches for his commitment, detailed coverage and knowledge of the sport.
