FALMOUTH — The Falmouth Historical Society will host a “Nautical Sweethearts” program, featuring a presentation by Paul DeCoste.
DeCoste, of Newbury, Mass., is an expert on nautical memorabilia. His talk and accompanying display will focus on sailors’ valentines, scrimshaw and other New England nautical, sweetheart memorabilia.
The public is invited to the program, scheduled from 2-4 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 9 at the OceanView Community Room, 20 Blueberry Lane. Parking is at the rear of the lodge. Refreshments will be served. Reservations may be made by calling 781-4727 or e-mailing falmouthhistorical@myfairpoint.net by Thursday, Feb. 4.
