BRUNSWICK — The name of the historic Captain Daniel Stone Inn will be changed to The Daniel 43°69, according to the parent company’s website.

The name change includes a part of the inn’s old name and its latitude and longitude, similar to the naming convention used for Boston East India Hotels’ other hotel, The Sofala 15°74 in India.

Abhijit Das, president and chief executive officer of the Massachusetts-based company, previously said that a name change would be linked to the inn’s history, which was constructed as a federal house in the 1800s.

Boston East India Hotels bought the 24-room inn and restaurant at 10 Water St. last October, after it had been on the market for two years. The inn is expected to reopen in April after closing for renovations and repairs in January.
