YARMOUTH — Heavy rain put a damper on the annual Henry Fest this year, so the celebration of friendship, music and local food was rescheduled for this Sunday, Sept. 20.

Families, individuals and residents are invited to attend the event from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Skyline Farm in North Yarmouth. The festival was originally intended as a way to thank friends, neighbors and relatives of Holly and John Williams for support during the couple’s son Ian’s five-year battle with cancer. After Ian Williams’ death in 2003, the backyard party at the family farm became a way to celebrate the support of the community.

The following year, the festival continued and now is in it’s fifth year. Local businesses provide food and musicians travel from all over the country to perform.

This year, proceeds will go to 317 Main Street Music Center for a scholarship fund for children who cannot afford lessons, classes or private instruction.
