PORTLAND — The first City Council Finance Committee public hearing on a proposed storm water fee for property owners will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Casco Bay High School, 196 Allen Ave.
The hearing had been planned for Deering High School; the new location was announced Oct. 16 by city spokeswoman Jessica Grondin.
The proposed monthly fee of $6 per 1,200 square feet will also be discussed at annual City Council district meetings held in November. The schedule is:
• District 1 – Nov. 5, 7 p.m., at East End Community School, 95 North St.
• District 2 – Nov. 6, 7 p.m., Reiche School and Community Center, 166 Brackett St.
• District 3 – Nov. 12, 7 p.m., Italian Heritage Center, 40 Westland Ave.
• District 4 – Nov. 13, 7 p.m., Presumpscot School, 69 Presumpscot St.
• District 5 – Nov. 18, 7 p.m., Riverton Community Center, 1600 Forest Ave.
