HARPSWELL — Nomination papers for the elected offices on the ballot at Town Meeting in March are in, and the incumbents don’t have any challengers.

According to the town clerk’s office Wednesday afternoon, four people up for re-election took out and returned nomination papers by the Jan. 27 deadline.

Board of Selectmen Chairman Rick Daniel is running for a second term. Daniel, who runs a carpentry business in town, was first elected to the board in 2013.

At the time, he said one of his priorities was finding a new tenant for the former West Harpswell School. The building has since been sold to the Harpswell Coastal Academy.

The other incumbents are Town Clerk Rosalind Knight, Tax Collector Jill Caldwell and School Administrative District 75 Director Linda Hall.

Town Meeting will take place on March 12 at the Harpswell Community School, 308 Harpswell Islands Road. Polls will be open from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., and the business meeting will begin at 10 a.m.
