HARPSWELL — Three-time Board of Selectmen candidate C. Matthew Rich could challenge incumbent Selectman Alison Hawkes in this year’s March election.

Hawkes and Rich have each taken out nomination papers, which must be returned by Jan. 29.

That’s when papers are also due for two seats on the School Administrative District 75 Board of Directors. As of Monday afternoon, Town Clerk Rosalind Knight said, no one had taken out papers for the School Board seats, now held by Jane D. Meisenbach and Kay Ogrodnik.

Rich was defeated last year by Selectman Rick Daniel.

Candidates for the Board of Selectmen and School Board are required to return at least 25 signatures to the town clerk at 263 Mountain Road. The annual Town Meeting and election is March 15.
