Falmouth boys’ soccer coach Dave Halligan earned his 350th victory in his 30 seasons with the program Saturday, when the Yachtsmen held off rival Yarmouth, 5-3. Halligan also coached at Cape Elizabeth, winning 79 games in eight seasons, and has led Falmouth to 11 state titles. Additionally, Halligan has won 482 games and six state titles with the Yachtsmen boys’ basketball program, giving him over 900 victories total.

“When I entered high school, we were rebuilding after the back-to-back championships (in 2011 and 2012) and what I’ve learned in four years, is you have to buy in and trust what Coach says and when you do, good things happen,” Falmouth senior Jonah Spiegel said.

“It means I’ve had some awfully good players and coaches in the program,” said Halligan. “I was hoping to get here, but you never know.”
