FALMOUTH — Though the Super Bowl may keep some folks away, a concert for Haiti disaster relief on Sunday, Feb. 7, promises to be a super entertainment alternative.

While The Who may be the Super Bowl halftime show, the who’s who list at Sunday’s concert includes three Maine performing groups: Zemya, The Maine Squeeze and Djump, as well as a presentation on the situation in Haiti by a member of Portland-based Konbit Sante, a non-profit organization that works to improve the public health system in Cap-Haiten, Portland’s sister city in Haiti.

Zemya, a 10-woman a cappella group, sings world folk music. The Maine Squeeze is an accordion ensemble that plays everything from polkas to waltzes to zydeco. Djump is a 14-person drum and dance group specializing in the music of West Africa.

The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Falmouth Congregational Church, 267 Falmouth Road. All ages are welcome; suggested donation is $20. Proceeds will directly benefit Konbit Sante Cap-Haitien Health Partnership. For more information or directions, call 865-6060.
