YARMOUTH — The Yarmouth Democratic Committee will host a gubernatorial candidate forum on Sunday, March 18.

The event will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. at Yarmouth High School’s Performing Arts Center.

Democratic candidates Army National Guard veteran Adam Cote, former Speaker of the Maine House of Representatives Mark Eves, Attorney General Janet Mills, District 28 Sen. Mark Dion, Former Portland Rep. Diane Russell, and progressive activist and lobbyist, Betsy Sweet, will join moderator Catherine Lee to answer questions and make their case as to why they should be elected Maine’s next governor.

Co-chairwoman of the Yarmouth Municipal Democratic Committee, Lindy Graham, said this will be an opportunity for residents to get to know the six candidates running in “one fell swoop.”

“The gubernatorial field is crowded this year,” Graham said. “Mainers are looking for opportunities to listen to what candidates have to say, but with so many candidates, it is difficult to find time to hear everyone out.”
