CUMBERLAND — A Greely High School student died unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, School Administrative District 51 Superintendent Jeff Porter announced in a community notice.
Porter did not release the name of the 18-year-old male student or the cause of death.
“Our thoughts go out to the family at this time,” he said. “We have no further information on a memorial service, but will provide this information when we become aware of these details.”
Greely students were told about the death Tuesday morning, and counselors, social workers, and Sweetser Crisis Services members were available to talk with them, Porter said. Counselors would be at the school after hours for as long as students needed them, he added.
