The Greely girls’ lacrosse team (minute one player) volunteered at the Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Walk in Portland Saturday, May 18. They were there in support of their JV teammate, Hogan Reed, who has CF. The Rangers did clean up, break down, and cheered hundreds of walkers coming back from the Back Cove route. The girls themselves first ran the route, and then pitched in. The annual walk, organized by local families and the CF Foundation of Northern New England, raised $233,000 at the event, with donations continuing to come in. More than 90 cents out of every dollar raised goes to support care and research.
