PORTLAND — Greater Portland Health was awarded two grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services totaling $728,000.
The grants were announced Dec. 5 by U.S. Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Angus King, an independent.
The agency was awarded $581,000 from the HHS Health Center Cluster program, and $147,000 from the Ryan White Part C Outpatient EIS program, according to the press release.
The Ryan White grant funds treatment and services for patients with HIV. The Health Center Cluster program “targets the economic and medically vulnerable,” the press release said.
