PORTLAND — Nonprofits and city agencies looking to help implement the Portland Economic Development Plan have until 3 p.m. March 30 to apply for grants.

City spokeswoman Jessica Grondin said March 7 there is $22,900 in matching grants available to help applicants pay for planning studies and “soft” costs on items in the 2018-2019 plan.

The plan is created by the Portland Development Corp., which dedicates up to 10 percent of its unrestricted funds to make the grants. The maximum amount for any grant is $15,000.

The plan can be viewed at http://bit.ly/2D8ojn9. Applications can be submitted online to the citiy’s Economic Development Department at nrh@portlandmaine.gov.
